Whether you’re a videographer or a photographer, a visual artist, a music producer, or any other creative, you will relate to the feeling of always wanting to surround yourself with like-minded people to really energize your creativity and learn new things.
Lounge: A Meet-Up of Creative Minds and Powerful Devices is an event that brought together a number of great local artists so they can build connections in the industry, get to interact and learn first-hand from professionals like Shaira Luna and Brillante Mendoza, and of course discover powerful devices to boost their craft. This event was held last January 25, 2018, at STKD Zeppelin in Kapitolyo, Pasig organized by Power Mac Center and LaCie.
The event officially started at 8:00 PM with games to energize the crowd before Ms. Ida Ong, LaCie’s Country Manager, delivered the opening remarks. After that, Lacie’s Product Specialist highlighted how their brand was created specifically for Mac Users and Creative Professionals which makes it perfect for today’s digital trailblazers.
The multi-awarded Indie Film Maker, Mr. Brillante Mendoza, then went on to tell the crowd about his process of creating his masterpieces. He uses multiple cameras on the set, about 3 to 4 cameras all recording in 4K Video Quality. Because of this, it is very crucial for him to efficiently handle these heavy files during and after his shoots. He is thankful to La Cie’s products for this aspect of filmmaking, he can easily transfer his files from one device to another.
Ms. Shaira Luna also agreed with Mr. Brillante on how LaCie makes the lives of creatives easier. Shaira is a well-known Professional Fashion and Advertising Photographer and as we can imagine, she has a whole lot of photos to handle; it really takes a powerful device to make her life easy!
After that, it was the crowd’s turn to ask the questions they’d always wanted to ask these great artists. They asked about their styles and their creative processes, and of course, this sparked conversations and inspiration with the attendees.
Not only that, but the attendees also got to bring home amazing gifts from LaCie and Power Mac Center to use on their next projects and boost their craft. It was truly a night filled with creative energy.
