Well, with the new AirPods Pro (2nd Generation), you can!

Launched during Apple's latest keynote event, AirPods Pro (2nd Generation) is here to raise the bar for audio experience even further. Get ready to immerse in a crisper, clearer, and high-fidelity sound, like magic!

AirPods Pro vs. AirPods Pro (2nd Generation)

The re-engineered AirPods Pro 2 followed the AirPods Pro which debuted in 2019. Design-wise, the new AirPods Pro looks fairly similar to the previous model. It’s in its signature white color with a rounded design, a short stem, and silicone buds. However, there are definitely exciting new features and practical updates.

All-new H2 chip

The H1 chip in the old AirPods Pro model made it possible for you to focus on high-quality sound while also being able to pay attention to the things happening around you. It brought several conveniences such as:

  • Faster and more stable pairing with wireless devices
  • More talk time
  • Lower latency
  • Faster switching to active devices
  • Higher quality sound

The benefits of the H1 chip are many, but the new AirPods Pro proved that you can still expect more thanks to its all-new H2 chip. With the H2 chip powering AirPods Pro (2nd gen), you get:

  • Lower sound distortion during playback with the help of a custom-built driver and amplifier
  • Outstanding and higher-fidelity sound quality—with crisper highs and deeper bass on all volume levels
  • Powerful adaptation algorithms that process sound faster and more accurately as soon as it reaches your ears
  • Enhanced Active Noise Cancellation and Adaptive Transparency capabilities for a more immersive listening experience
  • Longer battery life that can last up to 6 hours on a single charge
  • Improved acoustic algorithms for a higher-quality bass and overall sound

Precise Active Noise Cancellation

Tailored to every music enthusiast, traveler, student, or professional, the second-generation AirPods Pro has two times more active noise cancellation than its predecessor. Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) support in AirPods Pro allows you to listen to any sound from the audio device without interruption from outside noise. It allows you to focus on what you're listening to by blocking external noise from your environment. In AirPods Pro (2nd Gen), ANC is further enhanced by a re-designed inward-facing microphone, new rear vents, and improved acoustic algorithms so you can listen in peace and have more control over the music, podcasts, or meetings that you're listening to.

Personalized Spatial Audio

Spatial Audio from AirPods Pro derives from a three-dimensional audio technology, mimicking that of a cinema. It offers an immersive surround sound experience—sounds appear to come from all around you and follow your every movement.

With the new AirPods Pro model, Spatial Audio redefines the personalized listening experience. It works with the TrueDepth Camera in your iPhone to create a custom profile based on your head's geometry. It syncs to all your devices, so you get crisp and tailored audio playback no matter which way you listen. Dynamic tracking also improved, and you can now use it in FaceTime calls. Now, calls with your loved ones sound more real and closer, like they're in the same room.

Silicone Tip Sizes

While the AirPods Pro (1st Gen) includes three silicone tip sizes you can choose from (small, medium, and large), the latest model offers an additional option: extra small. Four silicone tip sizes create an acoustic seal and close in the sound in your ear. It lets you appreciate sound in all frequencies, supports capabilities such as ANC and Adaptive Transparency, and secures earbuds in place.

New Touch Control

Like its predecessor, the new AirPods Pro can do specific things like play a song or call someone upon command using the motion sensors on its stem. Here are the AirPods Pro and AirPods Pro 2 controls:

  • Press once on the indent of either stem to play, pause, and answer a call
  • Press twice to skip forward
  • Press thrice to skip back
  • Press and hold to switch between Active Noise Cancellation and Adaptive Transparency mode
  • Say "Hey Siri" to automatically do specific commands

To boot, there's now an additional motion sensor and additional control! The new Apple wireless earbuds now feature Touch Control. You can now conveniently adjust the volume of any music, call, or audio file you're listening to with just a swipe! Effortlessly swipe up the stem to raise the music volume or swipe down to listen earnestly to calls. You can break free from your phone and do it directly on the audio device instead.

Longer Battery Life

If you're looking for a travel buddy that won't let you down—the new generation of AirPods Pro is perfect for you. It's 100% reliable in all your travels and the daily commute, with up to 6 hours of listening time on a single charge. It has bumped up its power from up to 4.5 hours of listening time in the previous model.

If you're on a call, from up to 3.5 hours of talk time with the preceding model, now you can get up to 4.5 hours on a single charge—longer catch-ups with family and friends!

MagSafe Charging Case U1 chip

Apple's second-generation in-earbuds are contained in a redesigned MagSafe Case. Unlike its older model, it uses a new powerful U1 Ultra Wideband chip that is also found in the AirTag. Aside from giving you up to 30 hours of listening time when the in-earbuds are inside the case and ANC is enabled, it also enables Find My Precision Finding.

  • Precision Finding

If, for instance, you lost or misplaced your AirPods Pro (2nd Gen), Precision Finding in your iPhone's Find My app helps you locate the item. Specifically, with the support of the U1 chip, it more accurately determines the distance and direction of your lost or misplaced in-earbuds in its case. You can also use Find My's Proximity View as an alternative to finding a lost new-generation AirPods Pro.

  • Built-in Speaker

Other than the U1 chip, the new Apple audio device's MagSafe Charging Case was redesigned with built-in speakers. It plays a sound so you can easily locate the item. It's also made with new tones that you can use for alerts like battery status and pairing with devices.

  • New Lanyard Loop

You can easily add the latest AirPods Pro to your keychain pack and avoid losing it with its new lanyard loop. You can hang it in your ID lanyard or fix it in your bag's keychain holder and conveniently find and replace it as you please.
